Center of the Heart YOGA IS….

I feel good when I do yoga!

Yoga is a non-invasive approach to conscious wellness of the mind, body and spirit. It is so much more than stretching and exercise.  Yoga positively impacts every system in the body, including the immune, nervous, respiratory, circulatory, and glandular systems. The amazing physical benefits of yoga are only the beginning.  It helps us handle stress, anxiety, and a variety of life changes.  Yoga supports our body’s innate ability to move, sleep, and heal.  The practice is a life-changing discipline.  It is a path to self-realization—a path to your Self. Yoga teaches us to live fully in the present moment, on and off our mats.

If you can breathe, you can do yoga.  All bodies are yoga bodies, regardless of age, size, hue, flexibility or strength. Start wherever you are to begin or continue your yoga journey. The only flexibility that you need to get started is an open mind. It’s never too late to start. And, don’t worry; you’re not too [fill in the blank] to do yoga!

We offer yoga practice and instruction through classes, private sessions, and workshops.  In the classical yoga tradition, our instruction includes a combination of postures (asanas), breath work (pranayama), and meditation (dhyana). We teach yoga postures with modifications that make them accessible for all body types. Practices can be done on mats or using chairs with props for support.  We offer private instruction for individuals, yoga classes for individuals and organizations, and short or lunchtime sessions as a part of larger programs and events such as retreats, workshops, and conferences.

Private Instruction

Our private sessions are tailored to the individual client—from the beginner to the experienced yogi.  In a private session, we help you identify your goals for your body, mind and spirit and design the sessions to help you accomplish your goals.  A free consultation and assessment are required before private yoga instruction.

Classes

We work with organizations to provide yoga classes to their members or staff.  In a class setting, we lead yoga practice that meets the needs of the group.  Our class types include beginner yoga, all levels yoga, gentle yoga, and accessible yoga for all ability, strengths and flexibility.  We offer yoga classes tailored to persons age 40 and older. We can provide a yoga class for your staff or members and as part of your retreat, conference or event. Wouldn’t it be great to offer yoga class during your next event?
