Cultivating Resilience for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) | Guided Meditation and Discussion

How do we work with impermanence and the inevitable ups and downs of life? What if there's a part of you that remains untouched by any form of harm? What does it feel like to tap into your innate wholeness, even when the outside world doesn’t support or even acknowledge it? How does the body play a crucial role in deepening our resilience?

In this workshop series, Dr. Anouk Shambrook will explore these themes over four sessions.  In each two-hour session, we will sit for a 20-minute guided meditation, and we will explore different approaches to increase our resilience. The sessions will be interactive, fostering discussion in small breakout groups to allow you the time and space to explore, apply insights to your life, and gain understanding from others' experiences.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Learn practical tools you can immediately implement in your everyday life to bolster you in increasing both your individual and collective resilience.

  • Utilize meditation as a means to tangibly connect with our innate sense of wholeness.

  • Engage in meditation, contemplation, and discussion to deeply explore our body's wisdom, our thoughts, and emotions within a brave and inclusive space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

This workshop has 4 sessions. Each session is two hours.

  • Session 1 is free. Register to get the Zoom information.

  • The total cost for the remaining sessions 2, 3, and 4 is $75, and you can register for these 3 sessions together.
