Our DEIB Approach

Diversity means that people of all races, ethnicities, gender identities and expressions, religions, abilities, and identities are “in the room.” Equity means that all of those in the room have what they need to be successful and empowered to thrive. A commonly used metaphor says that equality is when everyone in the room gets a pair of shoes, equity is when everyone gets a pair of shoes that fit and meets their needs and style. Inclusion and belonging mean everyone in the room has a voice, is heard and FEELS heard.

Our DEIB offerings are designed to fit your organization’s goals. We believe that one size does not fit all. We offer in-person consultation on site at your organization or online interactive group sessions.

Our customized approach focuses on helping organizations to:

  • Understand the benefits of a diverse organization and workplace

    Understand what an organization should focus on before increasing representational diversity (i.e., numbers of people of color) in an organization

  • Understand all the reasons why diversity training may not be the best first step in an organization’s DEIB journey

  • Manage change as an organization creates and implements DEIB initiatives

  • Understand why working early with leadership/board of directors is critical to change organizational culture at the highest levels

We assist organizations in areas that include:

  • Recruitment and hiring

  • Policies and practices

  • Reviewing internal systems for bias

  • Individualized coaching virtually or in person for team members who could benefit from one-on-one sessions

  • Assisting when an issue related to diversity, equity, inclusion and/or belonging arises within an organization that requires an immediate response or action

Our interventions and training programs are customized based on on the initial assessment of the needs for change and on organizational structure and goals.
